Annual 9/11 Heroes 5K Run in Feasterville

The Travis Manion Foundation, in conjunction with the Lower Southampton Township Veterans Advisory Council, will be holding their annual 9/11 Heroes 5K Run on Saturday, September 11th.

Registration begins at 7:30am; opening ceremonies begin at 9:00 at Russell Elliot Memorial Park, 150 Buck Road, Feasterville.

The race is run in the adjoining neighborhoods of Buckridge Farms and Broad View Farms.

Participants of all ages and levels are invited to run, walk or ruck (carrying weighted backpacks).

The event is in remembrance and gratitude to the thousands of veterans, active duty, and first responders who have stepped up to serve in the years since.

All proceeds go to support the Foundation, which empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes and to the veteran services provided by the Township’s VAC.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, tax-deductible donations and corporate contributions can be mailed to The Travis Manion Foundation, Attn: 9/11 Race – FEASTERVILLE, P.O. Box 1485, Doylestown, PA 18901.

The national Foundation is named for Doylestown native 1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC, who sacrificed his life in 2007 while in Iraq rescuing his wounded comrades.

His legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, “if not me, then who…”
