Summer fun continues at Free Library of Northampton Township

The Free Library of Northampton Township, at 25 Upper Holland Road in Richboro, is pleased to announce the return of the Second Saturday programs sponsored by the Friends of Northampton Library.

These free programs for adults are entertaining and informative. They will be held on the second Saturday of each month from now through November.

We ask that those interested in attending register online at www.northamptontownshiplibrary.org/adult-programs/ or by phone at 215-57-3050, as seating is limited.

Registration begins three weeks prior to each event.

The schedule is as follows:

  • August 14th at 2:00pm – Norm Rubin presents ‘Space Travel and the Possibility of Extraterrestrials’.
  • September 11th at 2:00pm – Neill Hartley presents the ‘Spirit of Lindbergh’.

Summer activities for children also continue.

Children can read their favorite tale to our tail-wagging friends from Nor’wester Therapy Dogs on Thursdays in August (August 5th to August 19th) from noon to 1:00pm, and children can share a tale with a teen book buddy on Tuesdays in August (August 3rd to August 17th) from 10:30 to 11:30am.

Preschoolers will be paired with teen volunteers to read books and play games. No registration is required for either program. Just drop in.

There are a few things to look forward to in September.

Save the date – Sunday, September 12th when the library resumes Sunday hours, and celebrates our 50+1 Birthday Party from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

Later in September, our Tuesday Morning Matinee movies will return. These free movies for adults begin at 10:30am.

See you there!
