Announces VFW Scholarship Programs
Commander Joanne Elliott and Auxiliary President Sue Foster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6495 have announced the kick-off of their scholarship programs for 2021-2022.
The Voice of Democracy audio-essay competition is open to all students in grades 9-12.
Post winners advance to District and then the first place District winner advances to the state competition.
Each state winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., where the top national prize of a $30,000 scholarship is awarded.

The Patriot’s Pen essay competition is open to all students in grades 6-8. Post winners advance to District and then the first place District winner advances to the state competition.
State winners advance with a top award of $5,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C.

The entries can be dropped off or mailed to our VFW Post 6495 located at 1605 Haines Road, Levittown, PA 19055 to the attention of Laurie Whitecraft, Auxiliary Scholarship Chairman.
