Spotlight: Nazareth Academy High School

Nazareth Academy High School is the only private, Catholic high school for young women in Philadelphia. Nazareth Academy High School shares a suburban-like campus with Holy Family University, nestled in beautiful Northeast Philadelphia, and is conveniently located less than 2.5 miles from both the I-95 Academy Road and Woodhaven Road exits.

With both the Burlington-Bristol and Betsy Ross Bridges less than eight miles away, Nazareth students come from Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in PA and Gloucester and Burlington Counties in NJ. With a student to faculty ratio of 9:1 and an average class size of 15 students, Nazareth is dedicated to an individualized educational approach.

The small class sizes and faculty involvement create an atmosphere of personal, individualized attention for every student. The close relationship and rapport that develop between students and faculty encourage learning that allows students to develop critical thinking skills, strong written and oral communication skills, creativity, collaboration, and self-confidence.

The curriculum includes core courses and electives, with 16 Advanced Placement and 24 Honors courses and demonstrates that there are many roads to success as Nazareth students strive to discover their unique talents and ambitions. Nazareth has a state-of-the-art Innovation Center and Multimedia Center and offers more than 40 clubs, 12 athletic teams, and 10 performing arts groups.
