Theta Eta Eta is the local chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. established in November 2019. The sorority is a professional organization for registered professional nurses and student nurses (male and female) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds. More than 8000 Registered Nurses and Student Nurses hold membership in Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.
The chapter is sponsoring a virtual 5K run over the weekend of June 26th and 27th. Individuals and teams are encouraged to participate and all funds raised will support scholarships for local nursing students as well as ongoing community service efforts. “My race, my pace” is the slogan as the 5K can be done at any time and at any pace. Email ThetaEtaEta@gmail.com to register.
With the motto “Service for Humanity,” the organization performs many community service projects and welcomes new members to join their efforts.
They hold an Annual Clothing Drive where gently used items are collected and donated to “In Full Swing” Thrift Store, which supports “A Woman’s Place” in Doylestown. Non-perishables have also been donated to a local food pantry.
Since being chartered, the chapter has started looking for opportunities in the Bucks County community to deliver Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Projects.
Theta Eta Eta has a mission to provide community service. They see the significant impact the pandemic has had on the community and are looking for ways to support some of the needs in the community and bring joy to those who are less fortunate.
As community members themselves, they are poised to volunteer their time to help make a difference.
Are you a nursing professional who would like to join our efforts? Do you know of a local organization or group in need of support? Please reach out by email for membership, service opportunities, or to participate in our upcoming 5K. Email: ThetaEtaEta@gmail.com.
