Doylestown Borough bringing back Summer Scenic Strolls

The Doylestown Borough Parks and Recreation Board has restarted the Scenic Stroll program, with an invitation to participate in the 2021 Summer Scenic Stroll.

Meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, or bring a friend.

You don’t have to be a senior to join in on Wednesdays for an invigorating walk around town or in the local park system.

Fonthill Woods walk follows dirt and gravel paths that are uneven in places. Depending on conditions, this walk may be diverted to a walk around the grounds and surrounding neighborhoods. Portions of the Maplewood and Town West walks are in the street.

All walks begin at 9:00am.

  • June 16th – Town Walk West, meet at YMCA parking lot;
  • June 23rd – Doyle/Lenape/Hospital, meet at Neis Park parking lot, N West St.;
  • June 30th – Chapman Park, meet at East Road entrance parking lot, off Route 202;
  • July 7th – Fonthill Woods, meet at Fonthill parking lot;
  • July 14th – Senior Center, meet at Shady Retreat Road parking lot;
  • July 21st – Bucks Co. Library, meet at 150 S. Pine Street parking lot.

Sherry Sullivan will return as group leader. Masks are mandatory.

Walks are in the sunshine, but not on rainy days. For more info, call the Doylestown Borough office at 215-345-4140.

Cancellations will be posted on the Doylestown Facebook, which is linked to the Borough website doylestownborough.net.
