CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

Spotlight: Thompson Motor Service

The story begins in August of 1921 in the sleepy little village now known as Penndel where friends George B. Thompson and Guy Lawhead decided to go into the auto repair business together.

The original building, built on a piece of land owned by Lawhead, began operations as an auto repair shop, gas station, and blacksmithing establishment. It was located on Route #1 in South Langhorne and was the only place to stop and fuel up on the drive between Philadelphia, PA and Trenton, NJ.

Today, Thompson Motor Service remains a full service auto and truck general repair shop.

Their commitment remains on customer service, always striving to exceed customers’ expectations at every opportunity.

Thompson Motor Service has been a family owned and operated business for four generations now.  They have been in continuous operation in the same location for 100 years!

At TMS, they view customers as long-term business partners and seek to make every customer a customer for life.

Their employees are vital to the success of the business and they value their contributions and make it a point to recognize their achievements.

The Thompsons welcome the opportunity to serve you and look forward to showing you first-hand the level of quality and service that has kept the shop going strong since 1921.

They’re proud of the strong reputation they have built for providing the highest quality service at a fair price, and are committed to upholding the long-standing traditions that have allowed their business to thrive through four generations.
