Rakova Ballet’s Summer Intensive Program will immerse you into a world of dance!
With so many styles of dance, you may be wondering what it is about ballet that allows it to continually endure and thrive in a world where cultural trends and interests are constantly changing. Ballet has remained quite true to its original form, and yet it still gathers sold out audiences.
There are a few reasons why ballet is so popular, both with dancers and admirers:
- Ballet requires discipline;
- Promotes physical strength and flexibility;
- Boosts concentration, improves focus, memory, and learning;
- It boosts coordination and balance;
- Ballet can correct poor alignment or posture in your child`s body;
- It helps to develop social skills within young children, and can help them learn to follow directions.
Ballet should not be misconstrued as dance that is just for females.
Some of the greatest ballet dancers such as Mikhail Baryshnikov and Paul Taylor were men who gave phenomenal performances time and again to audiences who were delighted and amazed to witness the grace, strength, endurance and talent these dancers produced.
Perhaps you have a young child who has expressed an interest in ballet dancing.
Now is the perfect time to get them into a class and allow them to fully explore their interest.
Beginning on June 28th, we will offer a six-week Summer Intensive Program.
Classes include Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Primary Ballet for kids from age 3-18.
Our program also includes Pointe technique, Character dance, Contemporary, Conditioning, Repertoire and variations. FREE REGISTRATION before June 1st.
