Kristina Tuxhorn is the proud owner and founder of BC Discoveries Dance & Theatre Arts Co. and is excited to enter a new chapter with her dance team at a brand new studio just opened at 451 S. State Street, Newtown.
While this small local business has continued dancing through the pandemic, this move feels like a culmination of an intense year in new hopes and dreams.
“We’re so excited for this new chapter,” Kristina said at their grand opening this past March. The community has echoed her excitement.
Kristina founded the dance studio nearly two decades ago to continue pursuing her own passion and share it with others.
Her new location is designed to match the performance-based programs offered at BC Discoveries, with three dance studios offered for a range of dancers in all experience levels. An exciting new addition is their Broadway room dedicated to acting and tap classes, where Kristina puts her love for theatre arts to work.
Beyond the studios, Kristina has included a small dance shop on the premises for families to purchase dance apparel at a discount. A mother herself, she wants to keep dance accessible to all.
The nature of dancing may have changed this past year, but Kristina remains hopeful and enthusiastic.
“I’ve always wanted to run a dance studio,” Kristina says. She’s not giving up on her dreams – and neither should you.
Now registering for summer and fall classes, you can embark along with Kristina and her spirited team at BC Discoveries.
