Easter Egg Hunt continues, from a distance

For more than 70 years the Morrisville-Yardley Area Rotary Club has sponsored the Morrisville Borough Easter Egg Hunt in Williamson Park. This event has drawn hundreds of families to the park to get their share of the thousands of candy-filled eggs that were made available through the efforts of the club members and generous donations from the community.

Unfortunately, with continued COVID-19 restrictions on large gatherings, the Egg Hunt in the park had to be canceled for a second year.
In order to keep the tradition alive during the pandemic, some changes were made so that kids still got eggs.

As was done last year, families signed up in advance and eggs containing candy and prizes were delivered to their homes.

This year the fully vaccinated Easter Bunny (a.k.a. Kurt Holthendrichs) along with Rotarians Mike Yager and Danielle Larison and their volunteer crew made the deliveries.

The egg crew also spent a day at the Interfaith Food Alliance at the Morrisville United Methodist Church handing out eggs and candy to children who were there with their families.
