United Way of Bucks County celebrates resiliency

The United Way of Bucks County is shifting its Annual Breakfast & Awards Ceremony online to a Virtual Celebration of Resiliency. This annual celebration is one of UW Bucks’ largest events of the year, bringing together hundreds of donors, advocates, and volunteers to celebrate the work they all do to change lives in the community.

The nonprofit will highlight the key areas in which they bring partners together to make Bucks County a stronger, healthier community. This year, because of the pandemic, UW Bucks will host the celebration live on an online platform on Friday, May 7th, starting at 8:30am.

“We wish we could gather in person with our friends and neighbors, but this is the best way to safely celebrate with our supporters,” says Marissa Christie, President and CEO at United Way of Bucks County. “We are so excited to share our work with the community. Our community rallied together to provide so much support during what was an extremely challenging year for many. We want to celebrate and honor that. We also want to share what’s next – and what still needs to be done here in our community,” she adds.

Registration for United Way of Bucks County’s Celebration of Resiliency is now open at www.uwbucks.org/celebrateresiliency. All are welcome and invited to attend free of charge thanks to sponsors Penn Community Bank and SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions.

Any questions about the event can be directed to Katie Matarazzo at katiem@uwbucks.org.
