Incorporating visual feedback to improve patient outcomes

At Landmark Family Chiropractic we do more than just treat neck and low back pain. We offer a variety of therapies and modalities that enhance our chiropractic treatments and allow us to provide our patients with the highest quality care possible.

One such therapy that we offer is Motion Guidance.

This system allows us to help our patients to train and integrate movements of the head, eyes and neck which can be helpful for patients who suffer from vestibular issues, headaches, migraines as well as neck pain.

The system incorporates a high intensity laser attached to the patient’s head with a complex target several feet away.

The patient then performs specific exercises under the guidance of the clinician.

The laser gives both the doctor and patient instant visual feedback about the accuracy of their movement.

This allows the patient and doctor to make instant corrections in the activity ensuring the highest quality of therapy.

Studies have shown that incorporating visual feedback with external cues can lead to superior engagement, learning, performance and patient outcomes.

Motion guidance is not limited to treating only vestibular issues.

It can also be adapted in the clinic to any body part, allowing the doctor to administer high quality movement rehabilitation on most body parts in all planes of movement.

This can be especially helpful in treating and rehabilitating injuries of the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles as well as the core.

The Motion Guidance System can also be utilized for individuals looking for performance enhancement in various types of athletic activities.

If you are looking for something different to improve vestibular function, reduce pain, restore movement and mobility or just enhance athletic performance give us a call at 215-693-5488 and schedule an appointment. We look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals.
