The Historical Society of Hilltown Township will present a program on the formation of Pennsylvania with the Indians and the Walking Purchase on Sunday, May 2nd, from 1:30-4:00pm.
Jason Searock will discuss how the state of Pennsylvania came to be.
He will also detail and discuss the arrival of Pennsylvania Germans and the war with the Connecticut trespassers.
Mr. Searock is a descendant of Palatine Germans and his family helped in building the First Moravian Settlement in Nazareth, Northampton County, beginning in the late 1740s.
The program is free, but donations are appreciated and will be held at the c1800s Strassburger Farmstead, 407 Keystone Drive and Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville.
