Camp Girl Power is for incoming fourth through sixth-grade girls who want to develop the skills to be EMPOWERED in the 21st century. Topics covered include: self-identity, self-esteem, self-care, stress management, healthy relationships, effective communication skills, diversity, and leadership and teambuilding skills. Girls will engage in a variety of fun and interactive activities, including art projects, interactive discussions, journaling, karate, yoga, a nutrition lesson, and relay races. The cost is $350 for the full-day week.
Girls Empowered, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded by licensed psychologist, Dr. Dawn H. Haaz. Dr. Haaz’s mission is to provide all girls with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resources to be EMPOWERED today. Girls Empowered believes all girls, regardless of financial circumstances, should be EMPOWERED and provides scholarships to those in financial need to participate in our programs. The health and safety of all participants will be prioritized by following current COVID-19 CDC guidelines and PA state laws. Customized empowerment programs are offered to groups of girls throughout the year.
