Bucks families facing eviction may gain financial assistance from a new local program

Keeping a family in their home is paramount to their health, safety and overall well-being. Thanks to the generous support of a national grant program sponsored by Clayton Homes and Ikea, and matching donations from local Bucks County residents, Family Promise of Lower Bucks (FPLB) is pleased to announce that they will begin offering financial assistance to qualified families to help them avoid eviction.

“The Future Begins at Home program combines high-quality case management services and creative problem-solving to help families avoid eviction and remain stably housed,” said Jessica Schwartz, Director of Family Promise of Lower Bucks. “With the program’s launch on April 12th, Family Promise joins other organizations in Bucks County that offer similar assistance to ensure families have the holistic resources they need to stay in their homes and save them from the trauma of homelessness.”

The Future Begins at Home program is targeted primarily to providing rental assistance or help with first month’s rent or deposit on a new lease, and then in certain cases with other outstanding bills. For more information on program guidelines and eligibility, please contact FPLB’s dedicated prevention assistance line at 215-943-0403 or complete the pre-qualification form at www.FPLB.org/prevention.

Family Promise of Lower Bucks is a locally based non-profit organization that focuses solely on families with children, offering programs that support families already experiencing homelessness or those at imminent risk of becoming homeless.
