Wild Birds Unlimited franchise is celebrating 40 years in bringing people and nature together!
In honor of this milestone, we at WBU in Buckingham have decided to give back to a couple of the LOCAL organizations that help make this happen – Bucks County Audubon Society and AARK of Bucks County.
We also wanted to include some near and dear to our own hearts – LuLu’s Rescue and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County.
BC Audubon Society @ Honey Hollow has 110 acres and six miles of trails to help connect people to science, nature and the environment through education and events.
AARK in Chalfont is a Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center that takes in and cares for injured or orphaned mammals with the goal of hopefully returning them to their natural habitat.
LuLu’s Rescue is an all-breed, inclusive local dog rescue that was founded in 2010.
We have personally rescued two dogs from LuLu’s so we are big fans!
We encourage anyone looking to rescue to check them out.
Big Brothers Big Sisters in Jamison creates and supports one on one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
As a proud Big Sister to Mia B. for the past three years, I would encourage anyone who can spare two hours twice a month to get involved in this rewarding experience.
As 2020 has been a challenge for everyone, it has also been a challenge for these organizations as they heavily rely on fundraising events.
So, we have decided to give back 40% of our sales honoring 40 Years!
Ten percent each day will go to one of the organizations listed so mark your calendars and choose your favorite day or support them all:
- *Monday, March 15th – BC Audubon;
- *Tuesday, March 16th – AARK;
- *Wednesday, March 17th – LuLu’s;
- *Thursday, March 18th – Big Brothers Big Sisters.
We will all get through this together by helping one another!
