Art loving campers ages 8 to 16 will be thoroughly engaged at Tyler Park Center for the Arts in person Summer Art Camps with three themed weeks exploring “Wearable Art”, “Let the Music Play” and “All about Patterns”.
Activities incorporating art history and personal expression will delight imaginative campers. Wheel thrown and hand-built pottery afternoons, for all levels of experience, will thrill young potters as they create functional and decorative pieces.
Techniques will be explored and perfected including potter’s wheel, slab, coil, texture, glazing and surface decoration.
Fun filled days with lead instructor Tracey DeLellis start with morning painting, drawing, wearable art, still life sketching, tie dye, Beatles themed art, abstract art, printmaking and paint pouring.
Explorations of Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt, multi-cultural design and pattern will engage and uplift.
Additional surprise Pop Up Camps can be found on Tyler Park Center for the Arts Facebook page and through community emails.
