Spotlight: Richboro Swim Club

    A traditional neighborhood swim club with today’s amenities!

    Founded in 1952, the Richboro Swim Club has withstood the test of time and in 2021 has evolved into the area’s best summer family recreational facility.

    Conveniently located on six acres off of Second Street Pike in the heart of Richboro, you will find a complete neighborhood center of seasonal fun.

    The facility includes four (4) pools designed for different ages, preferences and aquatic interests and abilities. The pools include:

    *Tot Pool with water spray and playhouse;

    *Spray Pool with water jets, a 12-foot high umbrella water wall, bucket waterfall and other water play features;

    *90,000-gallon Heated Fun Pool with 20-foot long flume water slide, water basketball, frog slide and more;

    *Newly Heated Lap/Competitive/Diving Pool with lap lanes, high and low diving boards, 12-foot high “drop” slide, Aqua Climb Wall and more.

    Out of water amenities include two shuffleboard courts, covered game pavilion with table tennis, giant checkers and other games, a playground with newly surfaced basketball court with glass backboards, two pickleball courts, hopscotch and four-square courts, gaga pit, a giant swing set, and new children’s playset.

    The Club fields a 150 member swim and dive team that competes in the Lower Bucks Swim League and also offers an exceptional private and group swim and dive lesson program.

    Seating and lounges are available on pool decks and in the expansive picnic area which includes a large number of picnic tables.

    For the hungry and thirsty there is a complete professionally operated snack bar with an extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, pizza, ice cream and soft drinks.

    For working parents needing to be in touch with their business there is the convenience of property wide internet.

    In regard to COVID precautions, the Club was open last summer, adhering closely to Bucks County Health Department Guidelines with no incidents. “We consistently receive exceptional grades from our health department in all aspects of aquatics and food service operations,” states Tom Yaegel, president of the club. He adds, “We pride ourselves on being a summer facility operated by a family for families and providing a high level of safe fun for our member families and their guests is our main mission.”

    Special events including family entertainment days and nights, a July 4 celebration, movie nights and family barbecue nights are held throughout the summer.

    Richboro is a private club open to members and their guests only with a schedule which runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
