CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

Wild Birds Unlimited now offers FeederScaping!

The new owners of the Buckingham-based Wild Birds Unlimited bird enthusiast extraordinaire recently started an exciting new service for their customers!

FeederScaping is a brand new addition to all the fun and exciting offerings at WBU Buckingham.

Lisa Mergen, co-owner of WBU, is excited to offer this service where one of their certified birding specialists come out to customers’ homes for a consultation.

FeederScaping is a new artistry – turn your backyard into a birding oasis with the help of WBU specialists, who suggest everything from placement to type of feeder.

Specialists give recommendations dependent on what types of birds you want to attract, and if you have pests like squirrels or raccoons.

“Squirrels can jump five feet off the ground and 10 feet from a branch,” Lisa says.

Depending on the setup of your backyard garden, the specialist may also suggest native plants to incorporate, which are important for a bird’s natural habitat. Other necessities include a water source, plants that provide food year-round, and shelter.

“Our consultant helps you consider everything in your yard.”

Each person’s yard is unique, and WBU is ready to help you cultivate the type of birding refuge you’ve always dreamed.

For those who need extra help with installation, the team at WBU is willing to lend a helping hand.

This service is free to all Daily Savings Club Members, or for a small fee to non-members.

Call the store at 215-794-3888 or e-mail Lisa at wbubuckinghampa@gmail.com to make an appointment.

Don’t forget you can find bird enthusiast goodies at 4920 York Road, Route 202 and Buckingham Green, or online at mywbu.com/Buckingham (free shipping on orders over $75).

As a special way to help customers who are avid about getting back to nature and reconnecting with others, WBU is continuing to host nature/bird walks.

Novices to bird watching and those who have been doing it for years alike will relish this chance to enjoy the beautiful birds of New Hope.

To get on the list, please e-mail wbubuckinghampa@gmail.com.
