The Rotary Club of Langhorne consists of 30 full-time members, representing many communities, businesses, and other organizations.
They provide service and support for families, schools, non-profit organizations, community programs and groups and individuals in need. Locally our club is committed to supporting our youth.
The club sponsors the Interact Club at the Neshaminy High School, with the help of a staff member at the school, Sue Drake.
The Rotary also supports an Early Act Rotary Club for four-graders at the Tawanka Elementary School.
The Rotary usually honors six Neshaminy Seniors of the Month at the high school and two Seniors of the Month at the Bucks County Technical High School during the academic year, but due to the pandemic this year we have been unable to do so.
The club also has two senior scholarship programs. One is for a student at the Technical High School and three at Neshaminy High School.
Students should see their guidance counselors to apply for these scholarships during school year.
For the past two years the club has received grants from Rotary District and matched the funds for a program provided by the Peace Center for eighth grade girls about bullying.
This winter the club will again gather new blankets, new robes and slippers for men and women residents at the Statesman Health Center and other facilities.
Items can be given to Langhorne Rotary members or dropped off at the First National Bank in Langhorne. We are requesting items by February 28th.
