One thing it had an abundance of, however, was hope.
We saw it scrawled on driveways and sidewalks, hanging in windows, and in the eyes of every masked passer-by.
Nowhere was hope more present than with Relay for Life of Fairless Hills! And as the new year progresses, that remains the same.
After hitting curveball after curveball, planning and re-planning our 2020 Relay season, we went charging – full steam ahead – into our 2021 season with renewed vigor.
Relayers the world over saw huge decreases in funding for vital cancer research.
We saw programs paused, even canceled. We saw patients desperately waiting for appointments and treatments. And we did what we do best – we fought harder.
As our daily life changes constantly, Relayers are adapting. We are thinking outside the box with virtual fundraisers and online events.
As of right now, we are working hard to make our 2021 Relay, on June 26th-27th, at Pennsbury High School a great one.
Hopefully we will be able to celebrate our survivors, support our fighters, and remember those we have lost in person.
