Through the years the flower club has evolved into so much more.
Today we are a group of 77 women who meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month (except summer) at the Richardson House in Langhorne.
At meetings, speakers present programs about horticulture, flower arranging, and many other nature topics.
The Four Lanes End Club’s theme is “Community.” Members take great pride in helping the local community.
Throughout this past year, monetary donations were distributed to local food pantries and homeless shelters; 337 pounds of food were collected and given to the Penndel Food Pantry at Christmas time; and funds were given to help support a grant to build a new walkway at the Richardson House.
The beautiful two acre park surrounding the Richardson House is maintained with money from the club given to a landscaper.
These are just a few examples of how the Four Lanes End Club helps our community.
Our biggest fundraiser and event for the club is the Holiday House Tour and Tea in November.
Most of the money raised by this event is used to pay for the community activities which the club is involved in.
Unfortunately the house tour was canceled this past year. Hopefully the tour will resume in November 2021.
Since the tour was canceled, the club welcomes any donations to continue our community programs, and also welcomes any new interested members.
Checks can be made out to Four Lanes End Garden Club and mailed to PO Box 343, Langhorne, PA 19047 ATTN: Ceil Graff.
