Doylestown Health continues to grow to meet community’s needs

The opening of a new outpatient rehabilitation center and the expected opening of a new intensive care unit are indicative of Doylestown Health’s proactive efforts to meet the growing health care needs of the community beyond the immediate demands of the pandemic.

Doylestown Health recently opened the Clark Outpatient Rehabilitation Center on the hospital campus. The center offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies as well as hand therapy, lymphedema therapy, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and programming for neurological impairments.

Amenities of the center include the Thompson Family Waiting Area and Levy Conference Room on the first floor. Later this year, the Doylestown Health Ambulatory Center will also include orthopedic offices and a same day surgery center.

In keeping with Doylestown Health’s patient-first philosophy and unwavering dedication to patient safety, the Spring 2021 opening of the Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine will provide the next level of specialized and intensive care to our most critically acute patients in a soothing environment of care.

Spanning the third floor of the Cardiovascular & Critical Care Pavilion, the new Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine features the Putman Intensive Care/Intermediate Unit, including 32 specialized, private patient rooms with universal ICU/IMU beds and a dedicated nursing staff.

With the opening of the new Putman ICU/IMU, Doylestown Health will continue its nationally-recognized Intensivist Program, a model in which board-certified physicians, who specialize in the care of critically ill patients, are available in the ICU around the clock, seven days a week.
