Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is offering a free virtual workshop focused on educating caregivers about issues related to Depression and Self-Harm in children and teens. The workshop will take place on Thursday, January 21 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm via Zoom.
Facilitated by Alison Blum, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at LVF with extensive experience providing therapy to children, adolescents and their families, this workshop will provide information on defining self-harming behaviors, what causes them, and how to reduce them, as well as how mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma play a role in the perpetuation of the self-harming behaviors. It will also focus on the challenges presented by virtual school. During the 90-minute session, presentations will also be offered by LVF staff members Alexandra Pattison, an Outpatient Therapist, and Umadevi Nuthi, M.D, a
Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist.
