    Boheme Opera Presents ‘Who’s Afraid of Opera?!’

    We are excited to usher in the New Year 2021 with the fifth streaming event of our educational series, Who’s Afraid of Opera?!  Click on the link below – this Friday, January 1st at 1:00pm – as we share main stage excerpts from Boheme Opera NJ’s 1998 production of the Operetta holiday masterpiece, Die Fledermaus.

    This episode highlights a brief history of Operetta and how it evolved from Opera. Eventually Operetta would develop into the modern Musical and the world of Broadway. Artistic Director Joseph Pucciatti talks about the contributions made by such composers as Offenbach, Gilbert and Sullivan, Victor Herbert, Franz Lehar and Johann Strauss II.
