Dear Friend,
2020 has challenged many of us to focus on what is truly important in our lives. Here at the YWCA, we are reaffirming our commitment to the YWCA’s mission to empower women, eliminate racism, stand up for social justice, support families, and strengthen communities. The COVID-19 health pandemic has had a significant economic impact on the most vulnerable families in our community. Many families are facing homelessness for the first time. Food is no longer a guarantee. There has been a heightened awareness and response to incidents of racial and social injustice. For over 65 years, the YWCA Bucks County has been at the forefront of tackling complex social issues such as housing, food and human rights. Now is your opportunity to make a difference.
An opportunity to RESPOND to racial and social injustice
Through advocacy, education and training, the YWCA promotes the value of diversity, equity and inclusive practices to share in the celebration of our differences.
An opportunity to RESPOND to homelessness
Families across Bucks County are at risk of becoming homeless. The YWCA Homelessness Prevention Program provides rental assistance and supportive services to get them back on their feet.
An opportunity to RESPOND to food insecurity and basic needs
Too many families can no longer afford basic needs such as food and toiletries. Through the YWCA’s Emergency Food Program, children and families are provided weekly meals and other household items. Please consider a gift of $50 or more, but know that a contribution in any amount is greatly appreciated. Please make your donation online at www.ywcabucks.org.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Guillaume Stewart
Executive Director
