During my 27 years of being a realtor, I have always said that the spring market starts right after the New Year, unless we have a foot of snow on the ground!
COVID may keep us home more than in past years, and if you are planning to sell your home in the not-too-distant future, this might be the perfect time to look around and prepare your home for sale.
Don’t wait until the last minute when you have to scramble to renovate/update. Buyers look for updated kitchens (I personally just face-lifted my kitchen cabinets and added new granite countertops); and buyers also look for updated bathrooms. You don’t have to spend a fortune, but check out a new vanity with sink, and a new toilet.
And of course, paint.
Look around your home at the walls and trim. Fresh paint always helps.
And check out your front door. Does it need painting and new hardware?
And then have fun over the holidays! Cheers!
