Washington Crossing Wreaths for Veterans still accepting donations

Each year, Wreaths Across America celebrates those who have served our country by placing a wreath for veterans on their headstones at Washington Crossing National Cemetery and across the country and cemeteries around the world that honor our fallen heroes.

Washington Crossing Wreaths for Veterans is continuing the mission set forth by VFW Terchon Post 5542.

For the past 10 years we have set out to recognize every veteran laid to rest here.

Last year we placed over 14,000 wreaths, one for every veteran entered there. Our mission remains the same, to place a wreath on every headstone.

We are so grateful to the thousands of people who have been donating over the years, and would like to inform everyone, we are the same people with the same mission just a new name.

If you would like to donate this year, you send your donations to:

Washington Crossing Wreaths for Veterans, PO Box 731, Langhorne, PA, 19047.

We have not been able to do any fundraising during the pandemic – with that in mind, we aren’t sure what the cemetery and Gov. Wolf will allow regarding public gatherings.

Due to state and COVID restrictions, we are waiting to let everyone know if there will be a public gathering, or if it will be held virtual.

Regardless, the event will be planned for Saturday, December 19th.

It will still be something commemorated across the world, even if we are unable this year to celebrate and honor veterans.

Family members are encouraged to place their own wreaths on a loved one’s headstone.

In years past, we have been there to help distribute the wreaths, and assist family members that need it, with the help of countless volunteers.

This year, we still hope to commemorate these veterans. Every donation goes toward Wreaths Across America (WAA, our international name).

If you would like to donate through WAA, you can search under the Wreaths Across America website – Select Pennsylvania, every cemetery has own ID number; search for Washington Crossing.  This will ensure that your wreath is going to be shipped directly to the cemetery.

Thank you for your support throughout the years.
