Salon In Vogue – Washington Crossing

Salon In Vogue is thankful for serving our community for 20 years and counting

It is so hard to believe that we have been cutting, coloring, and re-inventing our clientele’s personal style for 20 years in Washington Crossing.

Owning Salon In Vogue has been an incredible journey for me. Bringing together a neighborhood of friends and feeling the pulse of our community is a privilege that I have enjoyed for a long time!

Our business is not just a creative outlet for us, but also provides us a continuous stream of deeply personal interaction with our clients that form the bond of trust and friendship necessary to help create a look of style that expresses who they are.

I especially love watching the beautiful transformations that happen every day as clients enter and leave. As stylists, we have continued to learn new concepts and techniques in hair design to keep us current with the ever-changing hair fashions.

For fun, I searched most popular hairstyles from 2000 to 2020. Can you remember asking your stylist for any of these styles?  Jessica Simpson made the long- layered blowout style with thick-banded highlights popular in 2001.  Katie Holmes brought back the structured bob in 2007.

We all had a side-bang in 2008. Give credit to Snooki in 2010 with “the bump.” Thankfully, lesser extreme versions of pompadour poufs graced the fashion runways that year. Rihanna sported the half-shaved under-cut with brilliant color in 2010.

Brilliant hair color is still going strong! The under-cut became popular with men in 2012 and the man bun was born. Long Bohemian loose curls with ombre or balayage color was a sensation in 2013. Your curls had to have straight ends in 2016.

Platinum and grey tones hit center stage in 2018. My favorite hairstyle in 2020 is the soft organic looking Lob (long bob) with random layering as shown above.

We have done them all! I love what I do and the people that I touch. I would like to give thanks to our loyal clients and beautiful community for having embraced my business for 20 years.

I would also like to give thanks to the most amazing staff that has ever graced our Salon. Sheila, Nicole, and Stacey are not only talented hairstylists, but are incredibly dependable, understanding, considerate, warm and compassionate people.  I could not have weathered the storms without their love and support.
