    Real estate closed down with hardly any notice in the beginning of the pandemic and we were the last state to reopen traditional real estate practices. As Realtors we pivoted quickly to an all-virtual mode during the shutdown. The first day we were allowed back in the office, we made an unbelievable V-shaped recovery!

    It’s been incredible, according to Kathleen Layton of Berkshire Hathaway in Newtown. Real estate is a great indicator of customer confidence and the economy in general. It’s very strong in our area.

    Kathleen says right now we are seeing historically low interest rates, and a lack of inventory creating a huge demand, especially in Bucks County. City dwellers are moving from NY and NJ, and with more people working and schooling from home, they have more options for housing and are thinking long and hard about the habitat they want to cultivate. Many find they need more or different space, or more privacy; some are going into retirement and taking steps to downsize. Buyers are scrambling right now to take advantage of low rates and claim their dream home, while sellers are in a great position to take advantage of this market.
