Make a move with Kathleen Layton, Berkshire Hathaway
Real estate closed down with hardly any notice in the beginning of the pandemic and we were the last state to reopen traditional real estate practices. As Realtors we pivoted quickly to an all-virtual mode during the shutdown. The first day we were allowed back in the office, we made an unbelievable V-shaped recovery!
It’s been incredible, according to Kathleen Layton of Berkshire Hathaway in Newtown. Real estate is a great indicator of customer confidence and the economy in general. It’s very strong in our area.
Kathleen says right now we are seeing historically low interest rates, and a lack of inventory creating a huge demand, especially in Bucks County. City dwellers are moving from NY and NJ, and with more people working and schooling from home, they have more options for housing and are thinking long and hard about the habitat they want to cultivate. Many find they need more or different space, or more privacy; some are going into retirement and taking steps to downsize. Buyers are scrambling right now to take advantage of low rates and claim their dream home, while sellers are in a great position to take advantage of this market.
If you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, you should work with a professional, Kathleen reminds you. We have the resources and knowledge necessary to ensure you the best results. You have to be comfortable with who you work with. Make sure you find an agent who has the experience and resources to overcome issues as they arise. Kathleen is very fortunate that 98% of her business comes from past clients and personal referrals, but she is getting calls from new clients every day asking for guidance and suggestions on making a move.
With her 25 years of experience, Kathleen thought she’d seen everything in the industry – but she’s never seen anything like the current market. It is very different from the meltdown of 2008.
She has seen 12 offers on one property, above list price, waiving contingencies. How would you navigate these types of bidding wars on your own? As a Seller, how can you choose the offer that makes the most sense in this very tricky market without the help of an experienced Realtor?
Kathleen lives locally in Newtown Borough, and would be happy to speak with you, even if you just want a consultation. Please call her at 215-801-2019, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. She can lay out all your options, whether for the present or projecting six months into the future.
Her hope is we will get back to some sense of normalcy soon for the safety of everyone in these unprecedented times. Until then, all precautions are being followed to keep people safe and she is back to business with masks, tracing forms, and limits of no more than three people per showing.
Make a move, Kathleen will walk you through it!
