Main Street Wine Cellar – New Hope

When Main Street Wine Cellar first opened its doors in May 2015, we set out to become the region’s best wine tasting shop.  Working closely with Crossing Vineyards and Winery, whose wine we feature, we set out to establish a new experience. We were quickly able to find success with our “come in as a stranger and leave as a friend” approach.

Rewind to March 2020 in which COVID-19 caused a shut down of many businesses in New Hope. Most of our business was from foot traffic, which was now gone.  After a few weeks of brainstorming and trying to find new ways to stay open, the  “MSWC Wine-bulance” was born. This service was a wine delivery system which serviced not only the New Hope area but the surrounding suburbs and parts of Philadelphia.

Before reopening this past spring, we treated our shop with B.E.S.T. seal; a new, light activated sanitizing solution in order to be as safe as possible. At first only selling curbside, we’ve been able to safely expand back into limited tastings in store. The To-Go market has been where we found our newest niche. For several summer seasons we have featured different wine slushies and they’ve always been a huge hit. This new rule has allowed us to package them up to be enjoyed at home or as you stroll the streets patronizing other shops.   We’ve managed to build up some steam heading into the fall and hope to continue the “to-go” business with some hot mulled wine selections as well as a new butterbeer recipe we’ve concocted.

Although we are primarily a wine tasting room, we’ve expanded our business to also include high quality CBD products from Sea of Healing and Just CBD as well some wonderful spice rubs from Big Cock Ranch in Texas. MSWC is also excited to announce our newest venture, the New Hope Coffee Company – PA. All beans are roasted locally in Pennsylvania and will be available in shop to purchase either the beans or a cup to go.

Looking ahead, we are staying optimistic for the holiday season 2020 and into 2021. We strive to ensure that all of our patrons feel safe while shopping or visiting with us and hope to share our new selections with everyone. The future of New Hope is bright and we are proud to be a part of this community.
