CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

Tyler Park Center for the Arts – Richboro

Activities that bring us together more now than ever are what we crave. Finding safe spaces to express our creative selves and connect to our higher selves takes us into our gardens, bountiful natural area’s and waterways that Bucks County and the surrounding area’s offer.

Tyler Park Center for the Arts is one more place that people of all ages are coming together to tap into community, learn and expand skills through pottery, glass, jewelry, fiber and other hands on in person classes and workshops guided by talented and supportive instructors.

A historic barn in Tyler State Park with a rich history of community arts is the home to pottery for kids age 8 and up along with morning, evening and weekend adult workshops and classes, Friends and Family offerings and Friends Nights all with appropriate safety measures in place.

All skill levels, beginner through advanced come together with social distancing, masks and lots of love to share in the timeless tradition of exploring our artistic sides. “I can’t tell you how much I missed pottery classes during the shutdown. I realized that coming here was a lifeline to staying emotionally healthy,” expressed Joan, a morning student.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am to be here, creating and being around like-minded people” is a sentiment shared by Suzi and many students throughout the 20 years that Earth Center Pottery has offered classes in this special place.

“Energy that fills us with hope is found in letting go of the everyday just for a few hours of self-expression,” muses Jennifer Miller, the lead instructor at Earth Center Pottery. “The gift that Tyler Park Center for the Arts shares, is the opening of our hearts to that which guides, inspires and brings together.”

Connecting virtually to Crafts in the Meadow artists has begun by email and social media where joining together to support hand made and local is easy.  This high end, juried Fine Art and Craft Festival held every October for 28 years running will be live in the Fall of 2021.

Looking toward Spring activities, members of TPCA present works representing all artistic mediums during the annual Members Gallery show, opening on April 9th and running through Mother’s Day weekend to coincide with the first annual Spring Tyler Fine Art and Craft Show on May 8th and 9th.
