Ivins Outreach Center responds to national crisis
The Ivins Outreach Center strives to improve the quality of life for residents living in Morrisville and our neighboring communities.
We provide opportunities for those we serve to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
In these unprecedented times, we adapted to the needs of those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic since March 2020.
The Ivins Outreach Center is taking action to feed hungry children, families, disabled adults, and seniors during this difficult time.
The Ivins Outreach Center was awarded three grants through Bucks County COVID-19 Recovery Fund.
The Fund was established by United Way of Bucks County with additional relief from Penn Community Bank.
Monetary assistance was provided by Fairless Hills Elks Lodge, Bucks County Commissioners, Harris Comfort, Pennsbury Lions Club, Morrisville United Methodist Church, Foundations Community Partnership, NJM Insurance Group, Princeton Area Community Foundation, and VFW Post #6393, as well as countless community citizens.
In addition to serving 345 individuals with hot meal deliveries and groceries weekly, we assemble boxes of food for 60 low-income families residing in Lower Bucks County.
We are joined in our efforts by a team of more than 90 “Angels in Action” volunteers.
Their daily tasks include grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and wellness-check phone calls.
Deliveries include hot meals, food boxes, infant and pet food, and healthy Snack Packs.
Our volunteers also prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, soup, and baked goods for delivery to seniors and to organizations that serve the homeless.
The character of Lower Bucks County is one of determination and resilience.
We are especially grateful for the incredible efforts displayed by our network of volunteers.
By working together and supporting one another, we are going to get through this pandemic.
To all those leading the way, thank you!
