Yardley Dental Care provides state-of-the-art dental treatment in a comfortable, sanitary and relaxed environment designed to reduce stress for patients.
Many dental offices closed their doors in the middle of March, but
Yardley Dental Care remained open for emergencies throughout the pandemic.
They were able to do that by following strict guidelines from the major regulatory and advisory bodies including the Centers for Disease Control, The Department of Health, The American Dental Association and The Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Sanitation and disinfection of the office on a regular daily schedule has enabled Yardley Dental Care to continue to treat patients in a safe environment.
The staff is among the best trained anywhere, and each member has years of experience in their field.
Even before COVID-19, they attended regular courses on using hospital cleaning agents and techniques to maintaining a clean and secure environment for patients.
Dr. Kenwood believes in “life-long learning,” and constantly expands his office’s capabilities as improvements in dental science come on stream.
A few of the technologies currently being utilized are: panorex imaging, which provides a 360-degree image of the teeth, head, sinuses and bones; rotary endodontics, which simplifies many root canal procedures; CEREC restoration of crowns, inlays and veneers in a single visit with no uncomfortable impression material to bite; an intra-oral camera that allows the dentist and the patient to view the same image simultaneously on the monitor; electric hand pieces that allow faster removal of decay; and oral cancer screenings using fluorescent technology.
Recently implemented is the ‘Extra Oral Air Scrubbing Technology’ which uses a high quality filter, UV light and focused suction to remove aerosols and provide a cleaner, safer dental experience.
Dr. Kenwood grew up in this area and attended Council Rock High School before moving on to college.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Kenwood completed his post-graduate work at Temple University before ultimately attaining his DD from Howard University.
He purchased the practice in 2016 from Dr. Don Millner, a respected dentist who had served the Yardley area for 35 and built an excellent reputation, which has now been further enhanced by Dr. Kenwood’s innovative methods and patient-focused care.
