Spotlight: Fetch! Pet Care is safety certified!

As you can imagine, those of us in the pet care industry are no stranger to repetitive handwashing.

Now, Fetch! Pet Care is following all CDC guidelines and recommendations to keep our clients, our pets and our Pet Care Providers safe from COVID-19.

Additionally, all of our Pet Care Providers are Fetch! Safety Certified!

In March we introduced a new protocol to our services – “Fetch! & Go.”

The goal of this program is to minimize contact between people and reduce the spread of germs. The program enables us to maintain social distancing and also to limit both the scope and time inside the home for in-home services.

For in-home service, we have provided all our Pet Care Providers with masks and require that they wear them during all services.

The client places all supplies necessary for the pet’s care at or close to the entry door, along with a “sanitation station” – disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizing solution.

Our Pet Care Provider uses these supplies to disinfect themself and items touched and used prior to and after the service. On walks, our Provider keeps the 6-foot social distancing bubble around themselves and the dog.

Cat and small pet visits are limited to providing the required food, water, medications and litter scooping.

The same measures are used for dog boarding and day care drop offs and pick ups at our location. We use hand sanitizer or wash our hands prior to and after all drop offs and pick ups.

During the drop off and pick up, we wear masks and keep social distance. Most dog leashes are 6 feet long, making it easy to keep the correct distance! Leashes and other items for your dog’s care are sanitized upon arrival and departure and in between as necessary.

To reinforce this protocol, Fetch! developed the Safety Certification program. All of our Pet Care Providers have passed a proprietary health and safety certification course which includes training modules designed to minimize the risk of COVID-19 and ensure the wellbeing of themselves, our clients and our pets.

This certification shows that we are up to date on all recommendations and guidelines for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and that we provide the best and safest pet care!
