New Hope-Solebury Community Association launches ‘Feed the First Responders’

The New Hope-Solebury Community Association is continuing their COVID-19 community support efforts, launching “Feed the First Responders.”

With the desire to honor local first responders and the need to help local restaurants stay afloat during this crisis, the New Hope-Solebury Community Association used donated funds to purchase the food.

Local eateries Fred’s Breakfast Club of New Hope, HG Wood Fired Pizza and Family Restaurant, and Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn created breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes that were delivered by New Hope-Solebury Community Association members.

“This is the least we can do for our friends and neighbors,” said New Hope-Solebury Community Association board member Dave Hansel. “This is a perfect example of community working together, with the generous donations we’ve received helping our local businesses all working together to honor the first responders sacrificing their health and safety on the front line.”

An all-volunteer 501(c)3 rising to meet the needs of the community for over 70 years, the New Hope-Solebury Community Association continues to collect cloth (including clean bed linens – for the elastic), elastic, and thread to make masks; grocery store cards for local food banks, and financial donations.

Checks should be made payable to New Hope-Solebury Community Association, Memo: COVID-19 Relief, and mailed to PO Box 62, New Hope, PA 18938.

Donations can also be made online at https://newhopesolebury-ca.org/.

Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis, the 2020 edition of The New Hope Automobile Show will take place with an adjusted format.

This temporary format will take place Saturday, August 8th, with a rain date of Sunday, August 9th.

The plans are still in the making so please visit www.newhopeautoshow.com and social media channels for updates.
