A Woman’s Place welcomes Marianne Lynch as new Executive Director

After a rigorous search, the Board of Directors of A Woman’s Place (AWP) has announced Marianne Lynch as the new Executive Director.

Marianne most recently served as the CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties for seven years. Bringing this experience and many years of nonprofit fundraising and management to the position is an exciting prospect for her. “As a passionate advocate for the rights of all individuals to live to their greatest potential, I am thrilled to begin this journey with AWP. This organization has been so important in the lives of so many of our county residents and right now, in a time of crisis, it has become even more so to those in need of safe, nurturing relationships.”

She went on to say, “I feel the responsibility of this work, and I also feel extremely honored that the AWP board has bestowed this opportunity to me.”

Marianne is a resident of Bucks County, having called the Chalfont area home for the last 13 years.

Stated outgoing Interim Executive Director Ifeoma (Ify) Aduba,

“With her long career in leading nonprofit organizations to greater impact and growth, I join the Board of Directors and Staff in being excited for what Marianne’s leadership will make possible for the Bucks County community.”

Through her consulting practice, The Mudita Collective, Ify has served in an interim leadership role with AWP since November 2019 and previously worked at AWP from 2006-2016. “AWP’s vision of a violence-free society in which every individual is able to flourish needs a strong and effective leader like Marianne, supporting the staff, strengthening collaborative relationships, and deepening the positive impact across the community. I’m honored to have served AWP and the Bucks County community in this capacity these past several months and look forward to this next phase and a smooth transition to new leadership.”
