Township update

Northampton Township is dedicated to keep the community informed, active and engaged during COVID-19. 

The Township Board of Supervisors, Emergency Management Services, Police and Fire departments are diligently addressing the up-to-date briefings and protocols to keep everyone’s safety in the forefront. 

All aspects of Administration, Finance and Zoning are on hand to assist residents with any questions, problems, code compliance, trash issues and more.

Though business has not been “as usual,” Parks & Recreation, Library and Senior Center are adapting to this vastly different world to keep the community engaged. 

Parks & Recreation has created a Virtual Recreation Center providing virtual classes, daily activities, weblink resource center, list of local restaurants open for take-out, family Facebook Live game nights and much more.

Trails at the Municipal Park are open for walking, jogging and riding, however the playground, sport fields, basketball courts and roller hockey rink are all closed.

The Library website, www.northamptontownshiplibrary.org, will help you navigate to variety of e-books, e-audio books, movies and music. 

Children can enjoy story time readings, book talks and crafts. 

Learn a language, improve your technology skills and tune into the health and wellness series from Doylestown Health. 

Use your library card to access many online resources through the Bucks County Library system. Visit www.buckslib.orgto apply for a free e-card and obtain your personal PIN. 

Beginning May 27th, the Senior Center will be partnering with the Library to offer a virtual book club for age 55 and better. 

While the James E. Kinney Senior Center is closed you can leave a message at the center, 215-357-8199, and a staff member will return your call. 

Seniors can access senior-related services and enjoy activities offered through the Township, Parks & Recreation and the Library websites.
