Every court case is different, and each client’s needs are unique.
“Not every client is going to be affected in exactly the same way by an arrest and the charges that follow,” says Caterina Saile, Managing Partner and criminal defense attorney at Saile & Saile, LLP. “I take the time to learn about my clients – their family lives, their jobs, medical issues, any substance abuse issues – all of these factors influence the way I will go about defending their cases.”
More than a criminal defense attorney, Caterina is also a mother of three very active young boys.
She understands the challenges families face, balancing careers and the daily demands of family life. She has a personal understanding and care for all her clients, listens to what they are going through, and tailors how she handles their cases based on their specific needs.
“It’s not just a criminal case result, it’s a personal result.”
Caterina takes into consideration any and all personal issues that may have resulted from a client’s arrest and charges, and how it may impact their life.
“While there is a legal component to each case, there is also the personal affect it has on my client in the end. That is why each defense is individually tailored. I want to know what my client’s goals are at the end, what they can live with. It is my objective to fight for the best result for my client.”
Caterina has always had a lifelong passion for the law.
At the age of 5, she declared that she was going to become a lawyer. Her education has tracked this path.
This passion has remained with her through her early career as a prosecutor to her current role as a tireless criminal defense attorney.
“The law is ever-changing and it is my job to figure out what exactly those changes are and how to help my clients by protecting their rights.”
Prior to joining Saile & Saile, LLP, Caterina was a Deputy Attorney General with the Delaware Department of Justice.
Most of her prosecutorial career centered upon the Fourth Amendment search and seizure law, where law enforcement conduct car stops, searches and seizures from homes, vehicles, cell phones and interception of communications through wiretaps. During her eleven years as a prosecutor, she handled a wide range of felony cases varying from theft to capital murder.
As head of a specialized criminal unit in the Delaware Department of Justice, she worked closely with the FBI and DEA as well as state and local police agencies on proactive prosecutions of drug traffickers and violent street gangs.
She was also involved in training local police agencies on various topics of law.
This specialized experience gives her a rare insight that she now applies to defending DUI and drugs cases in her current practice.
“Having worked on criminal cases from investigation to prosecution at trial has given me a unique perspective on how to defend a case. This is the experience that I bring to each of my clients.”
Caterina is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
