The Winter Market is held on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10:00am to noon from December-April.
Shoppers will find the same great vendors from the regular season market and a few exciting new ones.
“We are a producer only-market that seeks to connect customers and producers of locally, sustainably grown food products in a way that strengthens our community and our local farming economy. We are very grateful to The Anchor Church for generously providing us this welcoming space to do just that this winter,” said Cheryl Gilmore, the Market Manager. “Our farmers had much better, dryer weather this season compared to last. We are so happy they were able to have full, healthy harvests and share their bounty with us through the winter.”
Both the winter and regular season markets host 25-32 vendors offering seasonal, locally grown vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised poultry and pork, pastured and free-range eggs, yogurts and cheeses, artisanal breads, and homemade baked goods. You can also find organic, locally roasted coffee, raw local honey, kombucha, dog treats, handmade soaps, prepared foods, nut butters, soups, dips, wool products, and more.
The Winter Market welcomed local roaster One Village Coffee to their December and January markets this season.
Perfect Day Coffee will be the guest vendor for the February-April markets.
May 2nd, 2020 marks the start of the 15th regular market season. It will run every Saturday, rain or shine, from 9:00am to 1:00pm until Thanksgiving.
This coming season, the Market committee will continue their “What’s in Season” cooking demonstrations, which is part of an effort to offer customers more opportunities to learn how to incorporate local food into their lives.
The market will also host several celebrity chef demos, two Monarch Butterfly Events, Mother’s and Father’s Day activities, Free Ice Cream on Dairy Day, market Raffles, Tomato Tasting Day, An Apple Tasting Event, and our 2nd Annual Pie Bake Off Contest, as well as weekly local musicians and children’s activities.
Information about these events and more, including a complete list of this season’s vendors can be found on the Market’s newsletter and website, www.wrightstownfarmersmarket.org.
