AJ Foundation For Children With Autism

A beacon of hope for families

The AJ Foundation For Children With Autism is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1997.

From its humble start as a single family’s personal journey to help their son, The AJ Foundation has now grown into a highly respected organization, which serves as a beacon of hope for many families.

Its mission is to implement and support quality educational services dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism and their families.

To date, its greatest accomplishment has been the opening of one of Pennsylvania’s first highly specialized private schools for children with autism, called the Comprehensive Learning Center or CLC.

CLC, located in Warminster, is licensed by the Department of Education to serve individuals with autism between the ages of three and 21.

Students attending CLC are provided with intensive and comprehensive educational and behavioral services.

These services are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, which have been scientifically proven to be the most effective method of teaching individuals with autism.

Student programming includes education in all academic areas, as well as skill development in all aspects of daily life, such as increased participation in family and community activities.

Pre-vocational and vocational training is provided for students of transition age.

Recently, CLC was approved by The Office of Developmental Programs to provide services to adults with autism and/or intellectual disabilities over the age of 21.

CLC is currently serving seven clients in the adult program.

Through the intensity of their program and by working closely with families through collaboration and training, CLC prepares its students to be as independent, self-sufficient, and socially adept as possible so they may be active, contributing members in their communities where they live, work, and play.

The success of CLC’s program is directly related to the ongoing support of The AJ Foundation.

The AJ Foundation’s main focus is to conduct fundraising activities to help maintain CLC’s operating budget and facilitate its growth to meet the growing needs within the community.

The AJ Foundation also provides support to the autism community by offering CLC Visitor Days, along with educational conferences on autism and ABA.
