Bucks Beautiful’s Fall Lecture Series continues with “Leaves of Autumn” – The Art of Designing a Unique Fall Floral Arrangement by Melissa Palmer.
The event will be held Tuesday, November 5th, 7:00pm, at the Henry Schmieder Arboretum, Delaware Valley University, Life Sciences Building, 700 E. Butler Avenue, Doylestown.
Melissa Palmer trained under Gregor Lerch in Germany and attended the Boerma Institute in the Netherlands in Dutch Master Design.
She owns two businesses, Florum Flowers and Petaling Posies, and grows flowers on her New Jersey farm.
Ms. Palmer is a floral instructor at Longwood Gardens, as well as a frequent speaker at the Philadelphia Flower Show.
She also teaches classes on beneficial insects specializing in Mason Bees at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
She is a Master Gardener (Mercer County) and a Master Beekeeper trained in British Columbia.
Tickets are available at the door.
Arboretum members, DVU students and military receive free admission. Senior citizens, non-DVU students, DVU faculty and staff tickets are $3, and non-members are $5.
Light refreshments will be offered at 6:30pm, followed by the lecture.
