Better Homes Hearth & Patio: Bucks County’s oldest patio and fireplace store

    by Tianna G. Hansen

Fall is here, and you’ll soon be thinking about how your home is going to weather the winter.

Don’t miss the opportunity to outfit your house or upkeep your fireplace, a keystone in comfort and warmth for the cold months.

Better Homes Hearth & Patio has all your home’s hearth needs, as well as anything you’d like to get for your patio before the warm months fade.

What is now the oldest patio and fireplace shop in Bucks County began as a business in owner Pete Stillitano’s home, where he made PVC furniture beginning in 1979.

The business quickly took off and Pete had to rent a space to continue manufacturing, eventually leading him to open a store in the Levittown shopping center and creating a fireplace business in the 1980s.

This rich history is what led to today’s showroom of Better Homes Hearth & Patio on Route 1 in Fairless Hills, which has existed in the community since 1996.

“We offer the largest showroom with burning displays in Bucks County,” says Randy Epstein, the general manager who has been with Better Homes since 2001.

Randy comes from a background installing fireplaces.

Now, as the weather begins to turn and we prepare for winter, homeowners might want to consider installing a fireplace in their home, or refacing one they already have.

“Better Homes is a one-stop shop when you come in for a fireplace. We handle everything from start to finish and all of our work is in-house.”

Whether you’re looking for a mantel, refacing, or installation, Better Homes has what you need.

They offer wood, gas, and pellet stoves and inserts as well as any fireplace accessories you could think of.

If you’re considering refacing, they offer new marble or tile to give your fireplace that fresh face in time for the season.

On top of all your fireplace needs, Better Homes also offers a wide variety of other home and patio goods, including patio furniture and custom patio furniture cushions made to your desire in any shape or size.

Better Homes sells and installs retractable awnings and everything to make your outdoor oasis as comfortable and pleasant as your indoor.

They offer barbecue grills and so much more for your patio, as well as fire pits for those cool fall nights.

“We are also available for service and repairs to your fireplace and chimney. Anything you need, we offer.”

The mission of Better Homes is to make you comfortable, giving you an all-around better home than you had before.

Better Homes offers Senior, Military, and First Responders discounts to their community.
