Circle of Friends Preschool and Enrichment Programs at The Anchor Church

Circle of Friends Preschool and Enrichment Programs at The Anchor Church provides an innovative curriculum in a traditional, warm, small-school setting.

COF focuses on developing the whole child: socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Class sizes are small, allowing the teachers to meet each child where he or she is developmentally and to offer appropriate STEAM – centered challenges to promote growth.

“It is our role as educators to foster the love of learning in little students!” says Educational Director, Deb Secchia, “By inspiring curiosity, promoting problem solving techniques, encouraging risk taking, and instilling confidence, we are shaping leaders of the future!  We provide an environment where children feel safe to take risks, practice trial and error, and gain confidence”.

Circle of Friends has several very special and unique programs.

The program for the youngest population, Team Toddler, meets once a week for toddlers (with a grown-up teammate) to have fun and socialize.   Children delight in learning through play, with exciting themes and activities involving music, art, science, and literature.

In addition to traditional three- and four-year-old preschool programs, Circle of Friends also has a program tailored to children turning three between June and December.

It offers exposure to the preschool environment, focusing on socialization for these littlest students.

Circle of Friends also offers a Transitional Kindergarten program designed for children who don’t yet meet the public school age requirement for kindergarten or for children who need an extra growth year.

For its oldest population, Circle of Friends offers an amazing Kindergarten Enrichment Program.

Geared toward supplementing morning or afternoon ½ day kindergarten programs, the KE Program allows children to work together to design, engineer, and create wonderful class projects.

Last year the students built a bakery equipped with an oven, cash register, and many delicious treats!

They also created an “Underwater World” with nearly life-size sea creatures, before transforming their classroom into Outer Space.

Circle of Friends also offers flexible scheduling and several extended day options.

Limited openings are available for the 2019-2020 school year.
