The concert will feature Brahms’ “Ein Deutsches Requiem” and Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana,” with Rochelle Ellis, soprano, Mischa Bouvier, baritone, VOICES Chorale, and the Riverside Symphonia, on June 16th, 8:00pm in Richardson Auditorium at Princeton University, Princeton, NJ.
This concert celebrates Dr. Lyn Ransom’s 30 years as the Artistic Director of VOICES.
Dr. Ransom explains, “Brahms Requiem remains my favorite work. Each movement is so well constructed and the long phrases so satisfying at their conclusion. When I study the Brahms Requiem or conduct it, I simply go into another world of sound, beauty, and ethereal space. I hope you’ll find your way there, too.”
Tickets for this performance are priced at $45, $35, and $25, and can be obtained online at Princeton University Ticketing, https://tickets.princeton.edu.
Continuing with the Gala theme the following night, June 17th, will be a Benefit Dinner from 6:00 to 10:00pm, at the Washington Crossing Inn, Washington Crossing, PA, to celebrate Dr. Ransom’s 30 years as VOICES’ Artistic Director after her final concert, and to welcome their new Music Director, Dr. Richard Tang Yuk.
The Benefit includes cocktail reception, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and dancing! All proceeds benefit VOICES.
