Holiday House Pet Resort raises valuable funds for local animal rescue groups

Holiday House Pet Resort

On Saturday, December 3rd, Holiday House Pet Resort once again showed its support of community by hosting a pet photo event to benefit local animal rescue groups.  This fundraiser held at the Market at DelVal was a huge success bringing smiles to countless dog lovers and raising valuable funds for both the Partnership for Planned Pets and Animal Lifeline.

All attendees enjoyed holiday music, seasonal refreshments and the chance to meet and learn about adoptable animals in our area.  In addition, everyone went home with complimentary photo frames to proudly show off their precious pooches.

Holiday House Pet Resort is owned and operated by Drs. Laura and Randy Weis (of Doylestown Veterinary Hospital) and received the Best of Bucks 2010 award.  Please visit their website at www.holidayhousepetresort.com for more information.

Taking their love of animals to the next level, Drs. Laura and Randy Weis founded Partnership for Planned Pets in the summer of 2010 as a non-profit organization to provide shelter, medical care, exercise, nutrition, and love to rescue dogs while finding permanent, loving homes for each dog. Partnership for Planned Pets resides at Holiday House Pet Resort and currently has no paid employees.

Animal Lifeline is a support organization for rescues, shelters and municipal groups who advocate for homeless animals every day.  They provide community aid in many ways including, but not limited to, donations of food, medical supplies and shelter supplies, animal transport and low income spay and neuter assistance. They also operate a thrift store in Warrington with all proceeds benefitting animals in need. Please visit their website at www.animallifelineonline.org for more information.

In the spirit of giving, Holiday House Pet Resort is proud to partner with the Bucks County Housing Group this Thanksgiving. In an effort to help both their human and canine friends this holiday season, Holiday House has been hosting a food drive to benefit the Doylestown Community Food Pantry and will also host a 2-day Thanksgiving event for their furry friends.

Now through November 17th, food donations may be dropped off in the lobby of Holiday House during regular business hours.  For a list of requested items, please visit the Holiday House website at www.holidayhousepetresort.com.  The drive will conclude on November 17th to allow  time for donations to be distributed appropriately.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Grill will take place on Wednesday, November 23rd with delectable treats for canines and humans alike. During this unofficial kickoff to the holiday season, our furry friends and their people are invited to join us as we fire up the grill with a scrumptious Thanksgiving turkey.  Canine guests will feast on delicious snacks including roasted turkey and homemade pumpkin cookies, while their humans will enjoy fresh apple cider and other seasonal treats. In addition, guests staying with us will enjoy a special Thanksgiving Feast onThursday that will keep them barking for months to come!
