Batter up – Phillies 2012 is NOW!
Celebrate this new, exciting season with local author and radio personality Paul Kurtz at the Northampton Library on April 3rd at 7:00pm when he will take you back in “Phillies Time” with his new book “162-0: Imagine a Phillies Perfect Season.” With meticulous research in baseball archives and his own player interviews, Mr. Kurtz allows us to “imagine” an entire season of Phillies past wins for each date of the calendar March through October.
Learn about the Phillies and how a writer such as Mr. Kurtz puts all the research together! It will be an evening that explores not only Phillies baseball past, but also points to a stupendous future for our “Fightn’ Phils”! Please call the Reference Desk to register.
The incomparable Fred Miller returns to the Northampton Library on April 14th at 2:00pm with his new lecture in song, “Rodgers & Hart.” In the beginning, there was “Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart” (Mr. Hammerstein came later), but in 1919 these two young men decidedly moved Broadway into the 20th century!
Broadway would never look back. Learn about their lives, their work and their songs as only Fred Miller can present! Sponsored by the Friends of the Northampton Library. Please call the Reference Desk to register.
“Let’s Go Camping at the Northampton Library” on Thursday April 26th, from 7:00-8:00pm and explore the “wilderness” of the library.
