You could feel the spring fever in the air on Monday, May 14th as approximately 35 members of the BucksMont Organic Gardeners (BMOG) drove up to the Churchville Nature Center with car trunks filled with plants. Although you see lots of plant sales during the month of May, there was no exchange of money on this evening because this was BMOG’s annual plant swap, the club’s most popular, well-attended, member-only event of the year.
“Part of the magic of our plant swaps is that you never know what you’re going to find,” says Paul Thompson, BMOG group leader. “Every year, these plant swaps offer a diverse variety of flowers, vegetables, perennials and annuals. Some plants started out as seeds, and some have been subdivided. Herbs are commonly brought as well.”
