BucksMont Organic Gardeners Club

BucksMont Organic Gardeners (BMOG) is a group of individuals who are interested in learning and practicing organic gardening methods, without the use of unnatural fertilizers and pesticides. The underlying philosophy is practicing healthy, sustainable gardening, growing vegetables and fruit with the careful preservation of land and soil and the elimination of detrimental affects on future generations and the environment.

Beginning in 1996, the group embraced the “green” movement with the goal of assisting and educating anyone interested in the natural health of themselves and the planet.

BMOG offers lectures, presentations and group discussions the Second Monday of each month at 7:15pm at Churchville Nature Center. All are invited to meetings where you will be warmly welcomed by fellow gardeners. Meetings always include a time for fellowship and snacks.

Guests are invited to become members. There are no dues and donations are appreciated. Come learn from local gardeners’ and professional speakers’ lectures, demonstrations and group discussions.

Special events include tours, a member-only plant swap in the spring and pot luck harvest dinner in the fall. Members are encouraged to help plan and lead programs, communicate news of interest, share gardening experience and assist with other group activities.
