ACS Bensalem Relay For Life is June 23rd-24th

The Bensalem Relay For Life – American Cancer Society will be taking place again this year on Saturday, June 23rd, from 11:00am until Sunday, June 24th, 11:00am. It will be held at the Bensalem High School track, off of Byberry Road.

This is a 24-hour walk-a-thon raising funds in advance for cancer research, educational programs, patient services, support for local programs such as Road to Recovery which offers FREE transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, and community awareness.

There will be 60+ teams, with 8 to 15 team members camping out overnight. Each team has someone walking on the track the full 24 hours, selling items, raffling off baskets, gifts, etc. There will also be music, dancing, food, fun, entertainment, and activities for children.

The “Survivor Walk” starts off the program at 11:00am on Saturday.

The Luminaria Ceremony starts at 9:00pm, where the track is lined with luminary bags with glowing candles all night “In Honor” of those survivors, “In Memory” of those that have lost the battle, and “In Appreciation” of those caregivers who gave so much for the cancer patients.
