|
Pitching legend and former New York Yankee Roger Clemens will headline the Allies Inc. fundraiser on Sunday, February 28th at 4:00pm at KatManDu in Trenton. Also appearing will be World Top-10 ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship title contender and New Jersey's own Frankie Edgar. Live music will be performed by the VH-1 Cover Wars dance cover band Champion JUMPER. For the kids, there will be door prizes and appearances by the Chick-fil-A cow and Boomer- the Trenton Thunder mascot. Allies Inc. is a registered and accredited 501 (c) (3) nonprofit company founded in 1999, with 700 employees that serve thousands of individuals with various disabilities living throughout New Jersey, New York and Colorado. (www.alliesnj.org) Ticket prices are as follows: adults age 18 and over are $25 each; teenagers from 13-17 are $10 each; children 12 years and under are free. Proceeds from all tickets sold will go directly to Allies Inc. While many of us know about Roger's legendary baseball career, few of us know the depths of his humanitarian efforts and his charitable work off the field. In 1992, Roger and Debbie Clemens established The Roger Clemens Foundation for the purpose of carrying on and supporting educational, charitable, literary, scientific and recreational activities for children, with a special emphasis on underprivileged and at-risk children, and children with special needs.
